Last night, my husband, Matt, happened to look out the back window to the garden, and saw an animal in the dog pen behind the house.  Of course, he assumed that I had brought home a pet and put it back there in hopes that he wouldn’t see it.  I hadn’t, but it is a good plan.

We really weren’t sure what it was, so we went to investigate.  It turned out that a wild mother cat had brought her kittens over to play in the pen behind the shed.  It really is a good place for them to play, with big PVC pipes and such.   Matt was wonderful enough to catch one for me, a cute little brintle cat.  I held him (or her) for a while, and he calmed down.  I even put some food out for them, so I hope that they will stay.
