Friday night was the concert, and of course it rained.  Fortunately the date change from Sunday night to Friday night of the concert this year allowed us to move the show.

It started out raining in the morning, and they got the grandstand cleared of mud, but then it rained again around noon.  The powers that be decided that it would be a better idea to set up in the Pavilion instead of reworking the ground in front of the grandstand, because if it rained again we would be done for.  It turned out to be a great plan, as it poured about 6:30 that night, which would have cancelled the show in any other situation.

The whole show turned out great, and it really changed the atmosphere of the concert, which was standing room only.

Been reading all your posts about the fair. Sounds like you had a great week despite a few slight malfunctions. I’m sure you’re still tired and trying to catch up on sleep this week!

Well, Carla, unfortunately, I’m not getting a lot of rest. The Gibson County Theatre Company’s production of The Sound of Music is next weekend, and I’m the assistant stage manager, so I’ve still not gotten a night off… it’s just been crazy busy.
