This week’s thought is brought to you by Edith Head, and is in honor of a new feature I will be starting tomorrow – Fashion Fridays.

Your dresses should be tight enough to show you’re a woman and loose enough to show you’re a lady.
~Edith Head

Edith Head was born on October 28, 1897, that’s right, it wasn’t a typo… 1897.  She died from a bone marrow disease at age 83 on October 24, 1981. Head was an American costume designer who had a long career in Hollywood, dressing actresses such as Ingrid Bergman, Ginger Rofers and Hedy Lamar.  Her abilities garnered her eight Academy Awards—more than any other woman.
