The final sewing chapter in The Colette Patterns Sewing Handbook is all about using lining and the right seams for your project. Did you know that you can easily add lining to patterns that don’t call for one?  I didn’t.  I also leaned about several new ways to finish the seams on my sewing projects.

I’d been using a tutorial from Coletterie on Flat Felled seams to do my seams on the clothes I’ve done, starting with that first pair of bloomers I made.

But I’m really looking forward to trying out the French seam on my next project from the book.  It’s a top with a slightly sheer fabric.  I’m really looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
