Last week, I saw this super cute Envelope Clutch from the ladies over at Once Upon A Sewing Machine, and I knew I had to make one.

So, I headed over to See Kate Sew and downloaded the free pattern.  That’s right.  I said FREE.  I know you like free things as much as I do.  Once I had the pattern printed out, I cut into some scrap cotton broadcloth for the lining, and got out some great black poly-vinyl fabric for the exterior.  Since the exterior fabric was so thick, I skipped the interfacing.

A few quick seams and a decorative stitch later I had a classy black clutch.  Now, to have somewhere to wear it.

I’m so glad you made one! I like your materials, I think I would like to make one out of thicker more classic purse material as well.
