It took all weekend, but I managed to finish up my Steampunk themed crazy quilt top.

It uses lots of great fabrics, including the Victorian Dream line from Roberta Morales for Quilting Treasures, some beautiful hand-dyed fabrics from Just Plain Laine, and of course, lots of scrap and stash fabrics. I am in love with how it came out, even if the handwork did get a little tedious toward the end.

A big thank you to all the ladies who were at Virtual Craft Night on Saturday, giving me encouragement to get the project done.  Now, to find someone who has the time to do the machine quilting.

Beautiful and fantastic! My favorite parts are the gears and the whale. And the parade of roses! Really so many fun parts and you’ve made them look great together. We’ll done.

You can do it! It’s time consuming, but I just look at it as “The longer this takes the less money I am spending on more fabrics.” and it’s an amazing way to use up your scraps. And if you do give it a try, be sure to share your project.
