I’m trying to finish projects as I start them instead of having lots of projects going at the same time.  Being focused on only one or two projects at a time has been really good for me.  I feel like I’m accomplishing much more than I would otherwise.  It’s so easy when I have multiple projects to skip from one thing to the next, than I never seem to actually get anything done.

However, I do have several projects that are in various stages of completion because I can’t seem to get my act together and get them done.  So, I figure that if I share them with you, maybe you can help keep me in check and they will get done yet.

Finished Quilt Tops:

My zen chic quilt top has been done for over a year.  I finally sent it off to the quilters in early January. It’s getting some fancy quilting, which I’m not yet talented enough to do on my home machine.  I’m expecting to have it back soon, and all it will need is binding.

The Mod Crazy Quilt is also waiting to go to the quilter.   The quilting I want on it is pretty simple, but I’m not yet ready to tackle a quilt with minky backing on my own.

I also have one more quilt top finished and waiting for the quilter.  Remember that black and white quilt top with the cameras?  It’s eventually going to get some super cool quilting as well.

Quilt Tops in Progress:

I picked up fabric to make the Impromptu quilt last year when ImAGingerMonkey was doing a sew-along.  Well, I got distracted and the quilt I planned to make is still not done.  I’ve got all the pieces setting together just waiting to be something amazing.

Project Specific Fabrics:

I love fabric (just like most other quilters). And because of that I occasionally pick up fabric, knowing I want to make a quilt with it, but not yet knowing what that quilt will be.

I picked up a great panel print from the Wilmington Prints Communique line, along with a matching print a couple months ago.  I’m not sure what style of quilt I want to make with it yet, so your ideas are welcome.

I also have a great geisha panel that I plan to make into an embellished oriental themed quilt.

And some fabric from the collage line of fabrics that I want to make into a neutral quilt.

And, of course, none of that includes the fact that I have enough Halloween and Christmas fabric in my stash to do at least one more quilt of each.

So… what project should I be working on now?

I love your camera quilt, don’t wait too long to get it finished it needs to be used! Your ideas are all terrific, but as one is already cut, I’d start with that, but only after the camera gets quilted, if you’re doing it yourself.

Marly, fortunately for me, that quilt is going to the longarm quilter. That means that I can do more piecing. It’s my favorite!

Hmmm… sounds like you have the clearest idea of what you’d like to make with the neutrals. That’s also the fabric that speaks most to me, so I might be a little biased!
