We’ve had quite a bit of rain in the last few days, and unfortunately, we had some damage at the house last night. If you’re the same as me then you might want to check out if you’ve got any issues with your property. You’ll want to get any issues sorted quickly. Luckily, we didn’t have our house affected that much. Thanks to another round of storms, we lost about half of one of the trees in front of the house. We were lucky though. The tree just missed the house.

The only real damage we had was that the wind took out my swing, and we lost electric to the duck coop. However, some people may not have been as lucky as we were. If you have experienced more damage to your home because of weather like this, then you might want to consider contacting your local public insurance adjuster to see if you could claim on your insurance for any damage to your property from the weather conditions. Thankfully, our home is up and running again now. Hopefully no other homes were seriously impacted by this rain.

And thanks to the hard work of my husband and one of his brothers, most of the tree had been cut up and moved to the burn pile before dark.

I’m also happy to report, that though the ducklings got pretty wet, all 16 of our current batch survived the storm.

I’m happy to read that no one was injured and that the ducks are OK. After dealing with the storms in Louisiana and Texas, I’m pretty much over them now. I told The Hubs that I’m OK with not staying in the RV for a little while.

Yea, with where you live, I think I’d avoid staying in the RV until hurricane season is over again. We need you to stay safe.
