One of the things that my therapist has me doing to help with my anxiety is journaling. She’s having me write for about 5 minutes every day, either just things that are going on, or from a prompt. It’s actually been very insightful, as I have been able to establish some basic things about what is triggering my anxiety.

I’ve found a particular set of anxiety prompts from Brighter Path Counseling to be insightful. Along with prompts like these, I have been able to use trackers to track my mood and my overall anxiety levels.

Of course, all of my journal entries aren’t about my anxiety issues, some are just about the things going on in my life. I am finding journaling to be a great way for me to process my day and to improve my overall organization, which does alleviate a bit of stress I didn’t even know I was experiencing.

If you are interested in journaling to help with your mental health, I recommend taking a look at the reddit subs r/bulletjournal and r/bujo. They should give you some great ideas on how to make your journal both useful and pretty, which are things that are helping me to keep up the habit of journaling.
