Cream butter and sugar.

Add egg, oil and molasses, mixing well.

Mix in orange peel, soda, salt, and spices.

Add flour last, mixing just until well blended.

Roll into 1-inch balls. – For best results, use a 10ml. food scoop to get equal amounts. This is about the size of a Mexican Wedding Cookie.

Roll balls in sugar and place on parchment lined baking sheet.

Flatten cookies with glass.

Bake at 350 for about 8 minutes.

Take out of oven and allow to cool on pan.
