New Look

You may have noticed that I’ve been playing around with some updates around the site over the last few days.  I’ve changed up some of the artwork in an attempt to create a look that I feel reflects me a little better than the previous design did. Not that I didn’t love the old design. As a matter of fact, the new one is basically the same, I’ve just added some sparkly new graphics.

You’ll still be seeing those adorable mice throughout the site, but they’ll be having a little more fun. I’ve created the graphics, using the LCR Meeses font and free graphic elements from Angie Makes.

I have to say that it was a lot of fun to turn one of Angie’s geometric triangle backgrounds into a quilt for my mouse to sew, and the let them play on one of her ball jars. They had just the right amount of whimsy to give my design to look I have been dreaming of – and I didn’t have to create the watercolor bits myself.

In other exciting news, the MouseInMyPocket facebook page just got accepted into the BlogHer Social Media Influencer Network, so be looking for more cool stuff to be going on there in the near future.

What do you think of the new graphics? The mice and I would love to know.

Thank you Angie! I also purchased the pack of Christmas Watercolors which I used to make a Christmas themed banner which is currently hanging out at the top of my facebook and twitter pages. I’ll be putting up the one posted here after the holidays.
