As many of your already know, I am a volunteer at the Gibson County Fair. I am the fair’s official photographer, and also help announce many of the fair events. Of course, the real fun comes after all of the fair-goers have gone home.
We are currently at war with the Carnies. On Sunday night, following the close of the fair, myself and several other fair volunteers and board members had a little bit of fun at the expense of the carnies. First we took bottle rockets and set them off to determine our target range. Then, we got out the big guns. It was a lot of fun. Our final assault of the night was a large cherry bomb, which left a hole in the ground large enough to fit a 5 gallon bucket in.
Last night, the Carnies retaliated with some fire works of their own. It was a pretty light show, but nowhere near as loud as ours. We retaliated with some multiple shot rounds that were exceedingly loud and bright. I just hope that the Malone’s Taffy lady wasn’t too upset.
At least I know what the heck you’re talking about on FB now!
Oh, and pics are posted from the Pedal Pull if you haven’t seen them yet.
