It’s the Ides of March, which aside from being a very bad day for anyone names Augustus Ceasar, means that we are halfway through National Craft Month.
Today’s project actually took me more than one day. It’s not that it was a long process, but I did have to wait for the mod podge to dry before I could spray the acrylic sealer… and I get distracted easily. Basically, I took a pair of my old flats that were scuffed up pretty badly and mod podged some cute fabric over them. There are some great tutorials for this out there, so I’m not going to bore you by telling you the whole process again. You’ll find a good tutorial here.
The one thing that I think I should have done differently was to sand the leather on my shoes a bit so that the mod podge could grip the surface a bit better. It amazes me the things that I can do with a little Mod Podge and a lot of creativity.
