If you’ve been reading my blog, I’m sure you already know that it’s national craft month and I’m trying to make a project a day all month. I’m proud to say that I haven’t missed a day yet. But, since it’s sunday. Today is a simple project.
This city scene is a two layered Mod Podge project. I just used two coordinating scrapbook pages and a flat canvas.
First I mod podged the sky color to the canvas and while I was waiting for it to dry, I used the cricut that I have on loan to cut out the city scape. When the sky dried, I added the cityscape and modpodged over everything. I left room at the top for text, but I’m not sure what I want it to say yet.
If you have any thoughts about what text I should add, I would love to hear them. Just leave it in the comments section below.
How about adding a favorite quote/saying? You could cut the words from magazines/newspapers, in various sizes and fonts, then arrange them either straight across, or have them follow the outline of the skyline.
I found your page while searching for a cityscape craft for my VBS students. What you have is what I had in mind, only I was considering having them put it on a wooden plaque with a wire hanger. Still not sure, but I love your idea!
Thanks, I may just do that.
Oh, and good luck on your VBS Project. Mod Podge works great on wood. You can find out tons about it at – http://www.ModPodgeRocksBlog.com
