The Dress Form

The dress form has been used for ages, and I do mean ages.  The earliest known example of the dress form was a chest form found in King Tut’s tomb, making it circa 1350 B.C.  Obviously, there have been many updates to the basic dress form since then, but the basic concept is the same, a form in the shape of a person used to fit clothing.

I have loved dress forms since long before I started making clothes.  I think I have always wanted a dress form or two in my home.  Maybe one day I will have the room and the extra money to be able to afford to do it, because wouldn’t it be awesome to have some of these vintage dress forms in your house?

Do you have anything like this that you would love to have in your house, just because it’s beautiful?
