Yesterday was a good mail day. Instead of just the usual bills and junk mail, I got my order latest from Amazon. I try not to order too much online, at least not when I can make my purchases locally. But I had a couple things on my list that I couldn’t find at any of my favorite local haunts.
I have been wanting to get Gertie’s New Book for Better Sewing for a while now, and since I’ve finished working my way through the Colette Sewing Handbook, I figured now was as good of a time as any. I’m super excited to start reading it, but I promise not to start on any of the projects until I finish the ones I have started.
I also got a 6-pack of Pomona’s Universal Pectin which I can’t wait to use in one of the recipes from the Jam On cookbook I got for Christmas. I’m particularly excited to try it with the flat of strawberries that my husband is ordering for me from the local FFA.
Have you gotten any good mail lately?
Yesterday I received my 5 yards of Posy fabric, the wildflower looking one with the white background. It is hard to find and I am just thrilled to have it for my 3 charm packs of the same line. This will be my quilt. I just adore this charming line. I need some if the stripe next!
Woo… That sounds exciting! What pattern are you planning to use?
