A Refelction on Reflections

Today’s photo prompt for The Idea Room’s July Photo-a-Day challenge was reflection. Taken literally, a refection is the return of light or sound waves from a surface (at least according to Merriam-Webster). But as I pondered what to take a photo of today, I realized that I was actually reflecting on reflections. Particularly when I thought of some of the great photos I’ve taken before with reflections in them.
But once again, the weather didn’t look like it was going to cooperate with me this morning. The closest I could get to a reflection on such a cloudy morning was this.
For those of you who haven’t the slightest idea what this is, you can just see a hint of trees reflecting off the water flowing across the parking lot at work. Not very exciting is it?
Fortunately, the sun did come out a little later, so I was able to take a slightly more interesting photo of the reflections in the glass out the back door of the office. I find this particularly interesting since there are two layers of glass.
