So… this Lent thing….

For Lent this year, I decided to give up all of my extra spending.  I’m not buying anything that I don’t NEED.  That’s everything from new clothes, and fabric to take-out for lunch.  It’s not been a week yet, and it’s already driving me crazy.

I keep finding fabulous things I WANT. Of course, The Limited had to go and have a fab sale, buy one get one on pants, skirts, dresses, and jackets.  I came up with several fabulous outfits.

I even have a gift card. But are gift cards cheating? I feel like they might be, so I’m being good and not buying anything right now. But if these outfits are around after Easter, I guarantee you’ll see me in something new and fabulous.

And speaking of fabulous, have you seen the new limited edition fabric from Art Gallery? I’m madly in love with some of the prints from Arizona by April Rhodes.

Why must you do this to me Art Gallery?

All the fabulous stuff I keep finding is killing me, but so far so good. The only thing I’ve spent money on is food at the grocery and propane tanks for the grill.  Here’s hoping I can keep it up.  What are you doing or giving up for Lent?

I don’t give up anything for Lent, as I’m not Catholic, and we didn’t do it when I was growing up. I do have a desire to sew more of the patterns that I have in my stash, so maybe that can be my focus until Easter. Who knows?! Art Gallery Fabrics did in fact come out with a great line! And to be fair, I don’t think that gift cards are cheating, especially if it was given to you. 😉

You should totally do something for Lent, Catholic or not. And using up some of your sewing patterns sounds like a great one.
