I turned 30 yesterday – birthday selfie time!

and as I get older I find myself more interested in the details than in the big picture. Maybe that’s why I love shooting macro photos. Getting up close to things makes for some great textures and unexpected views.

Do you find yourself taking photos of details? Or is that some sort of weird thing that only I do?

A belated happy birthday to you!

Your shots are very pretty. We both had the same idea with the dandelion.

I’m not very good at macro, but it’s definitely one of those things I’d like to practice.

Thanks Daenel! My macro photos aren’t the best either, but I do love taking them. How do you have white puffy dandelions already?

This week was my first time practicing the “marco” technique. However, I’m looking forward to trying to photograph more of the details in the future.

Thanks for stopping by Sonya. I think you’ll really enjoy taking macro photos. My favorite part of the process is that it reminds me to notice the details in the rest of life as well. Have a great day!
