I have several hobbies that I really enjoy doing. One, which you have been seeing a lot of lately is reading. I always seem to have a book in my hand. But I promise that’s not the only thing I do for fun.
I love to create, and one of my favorite mediums to work with is fabric. It’s very forgiving. So I spend a lot of time quilting. OK, not so much anymore. I’ve been a real slacker about doing any quilting since we moved into our new house. I think it’s my sewing space. I just don’t feel inspired in it. The walls are mint green, and my table space is uneven, which makes cutting fabric a nightmare. I should really work on that, because I do have quite a lot of fabric that is dying to be made into beautiful things.
What do you like to do to pass the time?
Read, read, read!
Cook!
And, I blush to admit it, play online solitaire (since the solitaire game no longer is standard with Windows).
Quilt….slowly…by hand.
And I love to watch good documentaries. About animals, history, animals, nature, animals, cities of the world, animals…did I mention animals?
Have you read Kerry Greenwood’s “Phryne Fisher” mysteries? Though some are definitely better than others, they’re good fun. Satisfying “mental popcorn.”
BTW, I sent you two emails with the Tenugui pics in again–did they come through?
Got the photos. The Tenugui looks great! I need to write up a post about it. I haven’t read any of the Phryne Fisher mysteries, but I’ll be sure to take a look at them the next time I’m in the market for a mystery. We watch quite a few documentaries at my house as well. My husband like WWII documentaries, while I prefer the ones about dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals.
