This is only slightly embellished.

As children ran screaming down the hallway I fought back through the crowd to see what the commotion was. At the end of the hallway I found two students dragging another who had apparently passed out from fright. The Art teacher was holding the door shut with all of her might and yelled “RUN save yourselves! I can’t hold the doors closed much longer” I could hear a loud thud and hissing sound coming from outside. There it was 20ft long, fangs dripping with poison and a rattle on the end of his tail so big it belonged in a mariachi band. I knew what I had to do. I told the Art teacher to return to her classroom and protect the children and I would handle this.

The snake was beating its head against the glass door trying to get in. It’s eyes were blood red, its body a strange greenish black with yellow diamonds down its back. When the snake reared back for another lunge at the door I quickly stepped outside. While the snake thrashed and hissed at me I causally lit a cigarette to show that I was unfazed. It tried to bite me as I quickly sidestepped and it missed. Furious the snake stood up as tall as it could, its head now blocked out the sun and the courtyard became eerily dark as if dusk had fallen. The noise from the rattle was almost deafening. As if the entire French Foreign Legion was marching down out of the hills.

I looked to my left, nothing. I looked to my right and found a small brush pile. I slowly crept over and found a good sized branch. I grabbed it, held it over my head and screamed with the primal rage of my caveman ancestors. The snake flicked his tongue at me, I did the same. I saw in his the rage of the snake as I mocked him. Like lightening he sprang toward my leg. I quickly hit him with the branch, pinching him right behind his head. He hissed with anger as I grabbed his neck. It took both hands to hold on to him. I began to drag him towards the bean field as he tried to wrestle away from me. I could hear his rattle shaking with anger but I didn’t care. I stood at the edge of the field and began to spin the snake over my head. Soon he was spinning faster than a stripper’s tassels. As the snake approached Mach 1 I turned loose of him just to see him fly over the field and land in a tree. I looked down at myself, my shirt was torn, my jeans had holes and my nose was bloody. I reached in my pocket for my hip flask and took a long drink; I lit another cigarette… just another afternoon at school.
