I’ve finished my first project for the Summer of No Pants. Originally, this was just going to be a wearable muslin to test the fit of the pencil skirt before I made one out of my good navy twill, but I am totally in love with this pencil skirt in fun vintage fabric from my stash.
I don’t normally wear printed skirts or pants, but this really is great.
Now I need a few simple solid colored tops to wear with it.
The pattern from this skirt came from Gertie’s New Book for Better Sewing. I skipped the high waistband for this version, but may decide to add it to the twill version I make later.
