This dress was made by combining an altered version of the high neck bodice in Vintage Vogue Pattern V8789, with the an altered version of the Colette Patterns Meringue Skirt. Both patterns had side zips, so they were easy to put together into one project.
To put the two patterns together, I sewed up the bodice pieces at the shoulder and then adjusted the skirt darts to line up with the darts on the bodice. The skirt panels were then attached to the bodice. I added some adorable decorative ribbon to the dress before sewing up the sides, adding the zipper to the left side seam.
It was super simple to put together and looks amazing pine green imperial broadcloth.
