It’s been a very long, but good week at the Gibson County Fair.  Yesterday was the final day of the 7 day event, which really started 2 days early for me with the Queen Contest and Fireworks.  I had a blast this year, as always, but I can wait another year to do it again.  It always wipes me out.

We did a lot of new and good things this year.  We even raised some extra money for the 4-H auction by collecting money for special events at the fair.  Charlie “Chuckie” Woodruff, the fairboard vice president wrestled a pig by himself on Sunday night to a total of $240 and the queen raced Derek Kolb’s golf cart “Jimmy” for another $200 donation to the fairboard’s 4-H auction fund after the Lucas oil pull.

Of course, there was a lot of work and late nights in between all of that fun.  It’s time for me to catch up on my sleep.  I’ll be posting lots more fun from the fair once I finally get everything taken care of that I had to put off for the fair.
