Matt & I went down to Nashville to the Opry yesterday. It was a pretty long trip, but it was a lot of fun. The main reason that we went was that our friend Dave was the guest announcer on the Opry.
This is the second time that Dave has been a guest announcer at the Opry, but the first time that Matt & I were able to go see him.
We got down to Nashville early, which was cool. I wanted to go to the mall anyway. Did you know that it’s still not open? I certainly didn’t. So… in lieu of the mall, Matt & I went to check out the Opryland Hotel.
We went on a backstage tour with Dave (and April from the Opry) before the show started.
We got to go by the stage.
And see some of the displays. (No, I didn’t flip this photo. They have a lot of old print blocks in their display cases.)
We also got to see the artists entrace.
After the tour, we went and got our seats. The place was packed.
Matt & I got to see some very good performers at the show.
Dave did a really good job announcing too.
He even got his own commemorative poster.
Looks like you & Matt had about as much fun as I did! Great Photos and blog post! Very Happy that you, Matt, Sam & Kayna were there for a this very special night.
Matt & I had a pretty good time. I just wish we could have stayed the night. I’m still trying to get back to a regular sleep pattern.
would you send me the photos you took that night, like to make a photo album and a video and permission to use them? when you get some time could you add something about the night at the opry on my website?
I sure can. I’ll try to get the photos sent to you sometime tonight, including a photo release. hehe… Do you have anything special that you would like to say on your site? Shoot me an email at my mto address if you do.
[…] boards and an envelope. This seemed like a really good way to store some of the things from our trip to see Dave at the Opry. I’ve still got a few things to add. Mostly, I just need to makeup my mind what photos I […]
