Another fair has gone by, and thank goodness. I feel like I’m getting much too old for all of the late nights. At least next year, I’ll rank 2 weeks vacation at my job. That means that I’ll actually be able to take an entire week off of work for fair, something that I should have done this year. I enjoy sleep too much to be up until 2 am, and back at work at 8 in the morning.

I ended up using a couple of my vacation days, on Thursday and Friday, mostly because I was just too tired to get up and go into the office in the morning.  I think it was worth it.

Friday night was hog wrestling and the scavenger hunt for the queens after hours.  Hog wrestling went well.  We had over 75 teams.

The scavenger hunt is always a blast, even if it means being out at the fairgrounds until 1:30 in the morning.

Saturday was the final day of the fair.  It was especially awesome…. First, because it was the concert, which meant that we got to hang out with Z and his crew (Z’s Music and Sound Systems).  I’m hoping that Matt & I will get a chance to go hang out with him for a weekend in Indy this fall.

I also got to ride in the back of a truck to Dick Clark’s for lunch, on the fair board.  Yea!

The Lee Brice concert was also good, and as it turns out, Lee Brice is a totally awesome guy.  Listen to his stuff.
