This recipe came out of a cookbook that Matt’s mom got him when he first moved out of the house.  It’s called A Man, A Can, A Plan and is full of quick easy recipes from canned foods.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (15 oz.) canned cherry pie filling, frozen in can
  • 1/2 (of 16 oz.) can chocolate syrup
  • 1 T brandy
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Dig out frozen contents of cherry can and dump in blender.
  2. Pour in chocolate syrup, brandy and vanilla.
  3. Blend until smooth.
  4. Pour into shallow metal container and freeze for 2 hours, or until frozen.
  5. Transfer extra portions to an air-tight container.
*Makes 4 servings.
