I’m making progress on my spooky crazy quilt, but most of the work I’ve done in the last week has been hand work, so it doesn’t feel like the same kind of progress I get when I finish a new block.

I currently have 3 sections pieced together, and I now have the hand stitching between the blocks completed on two of them. Once the third is complete, I’ll be able to go back to making blocks, which will make me feel a bit more accomplished.

I also need to decide if I want to add any additional embellishments, particularly on the panel pieces.

To a confirmed crazy quilter, those seams are screaming for lace and sequins and ribbons, spiders (and webs right next to that crow’s cage!) and bats – all stitched by hand. =) It’s a really great group of blocks.

That is an absolutely fabulous quilt! You’ve captured beautiful creepiness perfectly! I will be eager to continue to watch it grow. Thank you for linking up with a Creative Compulsions!

Thank you so much for hosting. I’m excited to see where it goes next. I need to decide on embellishments, but don’t want to overdo it and loose the stark feel that it has.

This is going to be a very fun quilt to look at – lots to see!

That’s the idea. I have a large window in my living room that the sun hits in just the wrong way in the evenings, so I hang a quilt in front of it. That means I need a quilt that can also be art.

Love this quilt! I saw that panel and fabrics ages ago. My daughter bought it and made a quilt, but I’ve still to quilt it for her. Like your take on it! Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
