Virtual Craft Nite

What is it?

So, what is this Virtual Craft Nite anyway?  Virtual Craft Nite is a weekly sewing bee in video chat form.

The group was started as the idea of my good friend Sarah of Sarie Cherries.  The first meeting of the group was held on Saturday November 3rd, 2012; and I’m happy to say that I was one of the members of our first group meeting.  Since that time we meet every week to sew, help each other with projects and just chat.

How does it work?

The group has a private community on Google+ where we host our chats via Google Hangouts – a fantastic video chat feature.  The community also allows us to send messages to each other and ask for help throughout the week.  While the group is private, we are still searchable on Google+, so look us up and ask to join, or contact myself or Sarah via Twitter.

So when do you meet?

We meet every Saturday night from 8pm until 2am EST.  And don’t worry, you don’t have to be there the whole time, tho several of us are.  The longer time frame allows both people on the east and west coast to be able to participate in the event each week, and I can tell you that being able to block out that time each week to work on my projects has helped me to accomplish more than I ever planned.
