My Sewing Machine Hates Me

I’m having issues with my sewing machine again. I’m sure that the problem that I’m having could be solved very simply, so for those of you that sew, help me out. This is what is happening.
- I thread a bobbin.
- I put my bobbin in the machine.
- I sew for several minutes – everything is fine.
- Suddenly, the machine starts pulling multiple threads. – It appears to be happen about halfway through each bobbin, and these bobbin threads appear to be ending up underneath the bobbin case.
How do I fix this? Is it my bobbin tension, my regular thread tension, my needle?

Are you using the right type of bobbin for your sewing machine? I was having a similar-sounding problem the other week and solved it just by switching out the (new) bobbin for an old, tried-and-true one. It turned out they weren’t the same style bobbin.
I actually had that problem a few months ago… my one and only bobbin I owned was apparently not the right kind, so I stopped by one of the local fabric stores and they hooked me up with the right kind of bobbin… now it seems almost like the thread is getting caught between the bobbin casing and this little metal bit that holds it in. I’ll try to get some photos the next time it does it.
Call Sew Tech again…that’s the best advice I can give you. They are closed on Monday’s though.
