I’m so excited that I’ve finished this top. There was a LOT of hand sewing, which is about my least favorite thing to do, but it was well worth it.
After I got the muslin just right, I had to trace it back out again and cut out my good fabric. Mouse enjoyed helping with that.
Everything got hand basted before it was sewn together.
But it was worth it. It looked really good. More hand stitching went into the interior of the top.
I also had to create a replica of this for the lining, and add boning to the lining. I love it though.

It is Terrific Andrea!! It looks fantastic on you. I can see you wearing this to an outside Art and Wine Festival with a glass of wine. I bet your hubby loves it!
Thanks Judy! Matt did tell me that he liked this one. But I think it’s because he now knows that if the world ends there shouldn’t be any question of my sewing (or mending) abilities to keep him in overalls. 🙂
That is stunning! The fabric looks fantastic made into this bustier 🙂 I can appreciate all the hard work.
Thanks so much! I definitely learned a lot in the process. I hope to make another one of these soon.
That as an amazing fit! You did a great job on that bustier!
