I can’t believe it’s almost swimsuit season again.  Even if it’s not time to wear one, it’s certainly time to go shop for one.  Now, I don’t look like a swimsuit model, but even if I did I love retro styles too much to want your average triangle top bikini.  Now, that’s not to say that I haven’t had some trendy swimsuits in my time.  I’ve just finally found a style that I love to wear, that seems to love me back.

Here are a few of my favorite suits for this season.

Float Along Swimsuit

The Float Along Swimsuit is a great two-piece with a lot more coverage of your backside than you would initially think from looking at the front of the bikini bottoms.  And I love how structured the top is, with the elongated bustier style.  I know this top would stay on, even taking a dive into the deep end.

Vine Swing Swimsuit

If you’re like me, and you like a little more coverage in the hip area, the vine swing swimsuit is amazing.  The high waisted bottoms provide full coverage down below, while the v-neck in the top accentuates your best assets.

Nice to Sea You Swimsuit

If you love a two-piece but you want to cover up your tummy, the Nice to Sea You tankini swimsuit is amazing.  The fun retro print with halter straps and fitted bust make this one a keeper.

Bathing Beauty One-Piece

One piece suits are amazing, if you can find ones that don’t make you look like an old lady.  That’s why I love the Bathing Beauty One-Piece.  It’s kitschy retro design is amazing paired with the fun prints and colors the suit comes in.

Keaton Swim Top and Bennet Swim Mini

If you want to go vintage with your look, Shabby Apple has some great options, like this Keaton Swim top paired with the Bennet Swim mini skirt. These classic lines even solve the problem of showing your thighs, if you’re like me and more of a pear shape.

Half-Pike Swim Set

I love the Half-Pike set because it’s a two piece that covers just about everything in a way that’s so retro you’ll only look kitsch, never old.

What style do you like to swim in?  Are you retro or trendy? Do you prefer more coverage, or showing a bit of skin?

ModCloth & Shabby Apple have no idea who I am, but I kinda wish they did.  Their products have an amazing quality and boundless style.
