Yesterday was an amazing mail day!  My Spooktacular fat quarter bundle came in the mail from Fat Quarter Shop!

It’s nine super great Halloween themed fat quarters.  I’m thinking I want to make a quilt of some sort, but I’m still not sure what I want the quilt to look like.  There are some great mid to large sized novelty prints from Blend Fabrics, that I don’t want to loose in the process of cutting up the fabric.

I’m trying to decide, should I fussy cut the larger print fabrics to be center sections in a crazy quilt, or do something else with them entirely?

I have a few other Halloween fabrics in my stash, that will work if I want to expand my color range, but I’m super loving the minimal color palette of the fat quarter bundle.  What do you think? Maybe I should just make 2 different Halloween themed quilts, or pull those fabrics in for other projects.

Do you have a quilt pattern you think I should use?  Tell me about it!

Sorry, I have no suggestions for patterns. The reason I have such a large stash myself is partly because I don’t know what pattern to use! But I really love those fabrics in your stash–I’m wild about dots and those oranges, greens & purples are great shades. Enjoy them!

I’m sure I will enjoy them, but I’d rather enjoy them in a finished project than hanging out in my fabric drawers. 🙂
