Every year, my town has a festival on the town square. There are lots of local organizations with food booths and local people selling handmade items. I always enjoy taking a trip to the event just to look around. You never know who you might get to see, and what cool things you might find for sale.
There are hand made goods, and home decor items.
As well as informational booths and local organizations selling food.
But for me, the best part of Heritage Days is the quilt show in the courthouse basement. It is always interesting to go and see the quilts on display, and get a few ideas for projects of my own.
Does your town have a festival? What’s your favorite part?
What a great annual event! It looks like the quilts are both current made quilts and “family heirlooms”. Really cool!
Yes, it was really neat. I’m hoping to have a few of my quilts at this year’s show.
That would be a lot of fun! I’m going to one of these “shows” this weekend…but it’s a Cherry Festival!! The quilt show is held in the high school gym!
They are the best kinds of shows. No jury, just quilts made with love.
