I consider myself a fairly new quilter, having only been doing it for a couple of years. However, I also seem to be fairly prolific in the number of quilts that I have made in that time. At my house, I currently display quilts on an old fashioned quilt rack.
Needless to say, it’s getting a little small for all of my quilts (even though there are 4 setting here that still aren’t even quilted). Thanks to Pinterest, I’ve found a few interesting and creative ideas for storing and displaying my quilts.
I’d love to hear from you. How do you store and display your quilts? What is the coolest way you’ve seen someone display quilts in their home?
Hi! I came over from Craft Test Dummies’ post on FB! OMG, your quilts are absolutely beautiful. And I love the cabinet with them all stored so beautifully in. I wish I knew how to quilt, but then again, maybe not because then I ‘d have another passion to take even more of my time! 😉 Have a great day 🙂
Thanks so much for stopping by! I’ll be sure to stop by and check out your blog.
Hi there!
You have a lovely set of quilts. I have a few quilts that I store in a cupboard, wrapped in acid-free tissue paper – I really dislike it when they get dusty. And I’trying to resist washing them because of color fading and who knows what else.
I love quilts, and I have quite a bit of material, that, some day, I’ll make into a quilt… probably.
But (whisper) I think I love collecting material almost as much as making it into a quilt. He he.
So do you label your quilts? I have – and on a couple, I think I’ve written quite a bit – just to tell their story…
I love that your rack is overflowing…and that recycled dresser is such a great idea!! Thanks for rejuvenating this post at Tuesday Archives!! Woot Woot!
Thanks Val! Since this post, I’ve added a whole second rack (which is also filled).
