What are your favorite book covers?
I am absolutely in love with Orion Publishing’s new hardcover imprints of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels.
I might have even ordered one of them from the Book Depository the other day. It was a copy of Good Omens, the only book in the collection that wasn’t a Discworld novel, and a book that I love more than words can express. It will be nice to have such a pretty copy.
Of course, these are UK editions. It seems all of the my favorite book covers lately have been UK editions. This has been the biggest problem with joining Tumblr. I’ve been following Booklrs from all over the world and discovering loads of beautiful book editions that I wouldn’t have seen otherwise.
Needless to say, I have a long list of books I’m looking forward to purchasing via Book Depository. They have editions from multiple countries, and free shipping worldwide.
Another set of books with a beautiful UK edition I’d love to have is Harry Potter. And, considering that I don’t actually own a set of Harry Potter books, I might have a legitimate reason to purchase these. Again, I have to admit that I made a purchase of the first book in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, when I purchase my copy of Good Omens. I’ll probably ask for the others for Christmas.
