Mildred Jane is 6 months old now. A whole half a year! I feel like it’s a miracle she’s survived so long with me for a mom. I couldn’t get anything except serious face when I tried to take her 6 month pictures, but she was extra smiley when we had family pictures taken a few weeks ago, so be looking for those soon.
Millie has hit several milestones in the last month. She’s learned to sit up on her own for short periods of time, and is eating baby foods. So far she’s had Sweet Potatoes, Green Beans, Carrots, and Peas. Of course, all this new food has meant more issues with her tummy, but thanks to Culturelle Kids Regularity she is doing really well.
Seriously, I can’t say enough good things about this stuff. It’s been an absolute miracle for Mildred. It’s nothing more than a simple packet of powder that you add to your drink (or in Mil’s case bottle) that contains lots of good probiotics for a growing child and the equivalent of 5 prunes in fiber. Now, since Mil is still so little, and that’s a lot of fiber, we just do half a packet a day. That means that I get almost 2 months of great health for Mildred for less that $20. It’s worth every penny and so much more.
Now that’s not to say we haven’t had a few problems. Carrots seem to have given her some digestive issues the first time around, so we will try them again to verify if it’s an allergy/intolerance or if she was just sick. But once we get past that, she has only one more veggie to go (summer squash) before we start introducing fruits, which I’m sure she will love.
Mil has also gotten a lot bigger, weighing in at a whole 14.5 pounds and finally able to wear her 3-6 month clothes. She is learning to sit up on her own – she can do it for almost a full minute before she falls over now. Millie is even thinking about crawling, though she hasn’t figured out that she has to get her tummy off the floor to do it yet. She’s still in love with the play gym that her Great Uncle Dave made for her, and loves to chew on everything.
