My weekly update on projects progress.
Finishes
This week I got two quilts finished. The first is the gift quilt, which I unfortunately can’t show you yet, but I also finished the bird quilt! I’ll be blogging about it on Monday, but in the meantime, this is what it looks like.
Finished Quilt Tops:
No quilting has been done on these quilt tops. I’m such a slacker, I know.
Quilt Tops in Progress:
Still no progress on the Impromptu-along quilt that I started last year as part of an ImAGingerMonkey sew-along, or my Christmas crazy quilt.
I am happy to report that I am keeping up with the QAL over at The Sassy Quilter, though. All my triangles are cut, the rows are laid out and I’ve started sewing them together. More than half of the triangles have been pieced into rows! I’m pretty pleased with how everything is looking so far. Here’s hoping it stays that way.
What are you working on right now?

So many pretty quilt tops! The colour palette for you triangle QAL is fabulous, the grey is very unusual and modern – I love it!
Thanks so much, Martina. Neutral palettes with a pop of color seem to be trending in my latest projects.
Looks like you have lots on your plate. I love your triangles, with just the little pop of pink, it’s going to look great
Thanks so much, Conni. I’m really hoping that it turns out like I imagine.
Love the ghastlies in the triangle quilt and the pops of pink are lovely!
Thanks so much Ruth!
Two quilts finished AND keeping up with the Triangle QAL? WOW! You have been busy! Can’t wait to hear more about your quilts. And your rows of triangles look fantastic, Andrea!
Well, I only had very simple quilting and binding to do on those quilts, and since it’s cutting week, it was very easy to keep up with the QAL.
Love the random big triangles in your top! That will make it so interesting!
Thanks Jennifer!
Hi!!!! I love your Ghastlie Triangles!!!! I am doing this one too!!!!! Fun!!!!
That’s exciting! I’ll have to stop by and check it out.
I like your triangle quilt. The greys and blacks work so well with just a little bit of color. The few large triangles are fun too!
Thanks so much Rachel.
Love your “bird” quilt! And your grey triangles with that touch of pink are looking great. Looking forward to seeing a bit more! L
Thanks Linda! More photos and info about the bird quilt will be on the blog on Monday. Thanks for stopping by.
the gray one is really fun! I have some of that fabric. LeeAnna Paylor

You’re quite the busy lady 🙂 And my goodness, so many people are doing the triangle QAL! So tempting!
It has definitely been fun. Even if you don’t participate in the QAL, the triangle quilt has been a great challenge.
Those grey triangles are fabulous…I can not wait to see the finished top.
Thanks so much Cath!
