Triangle Quilt Along: Week 5

It’s the 5th and final week of the Triangle Quilt Along over at The Sassy Quilter.

I’m happy to report that I’ve managed to finish the quilt on schedule. I decided to quilt my quilt following the piecing. It came out pretty well, but it took a lot longer to quilt than most of my projects. It’s not a heavy quilting design, but it’s still much heavier than my standard quilting.

I’m really quite pleased with how my quilt turned out. I’ll definitely be making another version of the triangle quilt soon. Did you participate in the Triangle Quilt Along? How did your quilt turn out?

I’m still assembling mine but i love how your’s turned out especially the large feature print that could be exactly what I need to do with large print fabric I’ve been hoarding!

  Thanks so much Ruth! Those large triangles were super easy to do. I posted a tutorial last week, if you need a little help with figuring out the math for making the large triangles work in your quilt..

Congrats on a gorgeous finish, Andrea! What a sweet quilt with those fabrics and the larger triangles worked into the design. Just a perfect quilt all the way around. Well done!

I haven’t even basted mine yet! I don’t think I’ll get done in time for the final linkup as I’ll have the five year old this weekend, and while quilting a little ‘may’ be possible with her ‘help’, basting is definitely not possible! 🙂
I will finish it though not on time for the linkup, hopefully in time for Mother’s Day as I plan to gift it to my mom.

    So glad you rejuvenated this post….as I loved how you incorp. your Ghastlies with your triangle quilt!Sorry I have stopped by more often…busy getting back to school…with a class size of thirty second graders UGH!!!

I love that ghastlies print, I wish I got some of it. What a clever idea to incorporate the larger triangles. Nice finish!

I like your version too. Congrats on great quilt finish! I know what you mean about the quilting I wasn’t up to doing this two line all around but it looks great.

I’m so glad I came here to see the pictures bigger. On Instagram I thought the big triangle was a cat (mouse in my pocket). I love this even more! I also love the splashes of pink. I’ll make another triangle quilt one of these days and incorporate these ideas into it. Great job!!!

I’m still working on mine – it’s getting close to king-size, so it’s taken me a little longer than I expected when I jumped in!
Yours looks great – love the big triangles! Such a smart idea!

  With it being King size, I think you should be allowed a little extra time. That’s a LOT more seams and more quilting. I’m sure it will be amazing when it’s done.
