My weekly update on projects progress.
Finishes
I got my Triangle Quilt Along quilt done in time for this week’s finished quilt reveal. You’ll be able to see the whole thing on the blog this Friday, in the mean time, here’s a sneak preview.
Finished Quilt Tops:
I didn’t do any quilting on my other finished quilt tops.
Quilt Tops in Progress:
Still no progress on the Impromptu-along quilt that I started last year as part of an ImAGingerMonkey sew-along, or my Christmas crazy quilt.
I made some progress on my #dyosampler quilt, making the first few blocks. I think this quilt is going to end up as more of a modified log cabin quilt, than a sampler, but I still think it will look good when it’s done.
What are you working on right now?

Still trudging along, hand-quilting the Dresden Plate quilt. This is the downside of hand-quilting, it takes so long that before you’re done you begin to hate the quilt. I used to have oceans of time alone in the house and used quite a lot of it to handquilt. Now I’m busy and only have an hour or so a day to give to it. Only 4 more blocks to go, and I tend to do outline or echo quilting. I don’t think I could handquilt an allover design without going bonkers, at least not a double bed quilt!
I’m sure I couldn’t. I wouldn’t even machine quilt something that large myself. That’s what long arm quilters are for. 🙂
Congrats on you progress. It is all looking good.
Thanks so much! I love having finishes and this weekly work in progress post forces me to work on things.
Can hardly wait for the big reveal on Friday, Andrea! Thanks for the sneak peek!
Thanks Lorna! I’m super excited to share it.
Oh very intriguing! Can’t wait for the big reveal
Thanks Sue! I hope you’ll like it.
I like the look of that triangle quilt.
Thanks Rachel! The big reveal of the finished quilt will be tomorrow.
Your sneak peek has me very curious 🙂
Pictures of the whole quilt will be on the blog tomorrow morning.
Beautiful quilts and quilt tops, Andrea! What am I working on right now? I’m machine knitting some fabric. 🙂
Of course you’re machine knitting some fabric and I’m sure it’s gorgeous!
This is great! I have a quilt in progress that seriously needs finishing myself. I love making the blocks but then slow down when it’s time to put everything together!
It’s totally worth the time. I find that posting my progress on all my projects once a week really helps me to keep the momentum going.
