Yesterday was a great mail day!  I came home to a great big box on my front porch.

That box came all the way from Canada and only had one big dent in it.

And what was in this big box from Canada, you ask?  Something soft, warm, and perfectly magical.

3 freshly quilted quilts back from Cara over at CaraQuilts!  She even trimmed them down for me.  All I still need to do is bind them.  I’d sent her 3 very different quilts in very different sizes, and they all came back amazing.

The crazy quilt was the first one I took out of the box.  Cara did an amazing job with it.  Each of the blocks has a different design quilted in it, with meandering in the large center section.

Of course, the very first thing Mouse did, was to lay down on the quilt.  She always has to mark her territory.

After I got Mouse out of the way, I got my next quilt out of the box – the (Not) Purdue Quilt I made for my sister’s birthday/Christmas present.

Cara did an amazing job with this one, quilting an all over wood grain design.

Of course, as soon as I flipped the quilt over to photograph the back, Mouse decided to run across it and claim it for you own.  Too bad for her; this one is going away soon.

Once I got her removed from this quilt, I got to get out my final quilt.  The Shiny Chevron quilt, which I had backed in minky.  In theory, I might have been able to do this one on my machine – size-wise.

However, I wasn’t sure if I could do it with the minky fabric.  And, I’m really glad I sent it out.  It’s much more amazing than anything I could have done myself.

Cara quilted the chevrons and blue background differently, making for a fun and elegant design.  It’s almost too nice to use as a lap quilt.  Almost.

And it’s a good thing I plan on keeping this one.  Mouse loves it too.

I was so excited about getting them back, I even did the binding on one of them last night!  Mouse is very pleased.

Have you gotten anything awesome in the mail lately?
