This is my mother-in-law’s recipe for chocolate pour over icing. It’s amazing served with yellow cake and ice cream.
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup white corn syrup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Add all ingredients to a medium saucepot.
- Mix well, stirring constantly over low heat until butter is melted.
- Bring mixture to boil for one minute.
- Remove from heat.
This can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator and reheated. It is best served warm.
