This is my step-mom Carolyn’s recipe for orange cake. I like this one, because it starts with a cake mix, making it ultra simple. This recipe has it’s own frosting recipe, but it’s also great with cream cheese icing.
Cake Ingredients:
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup oil
- 1 (11 oz) can mandarin oranges
Cake Instructions:
- Add all ingredients to mixing bowl, mix well.
- Pour in prepared pan(s) of your choice and bake according to directions on cake box.
- Let cool and frost.
Frosting Ingredients:
- 8 oz cool whip
- 1 small box instant vanilla pudding
Frosting Instructions:
- Put ingredients in medium bowl and mix well.
Hmmm….interesting, I think i’ll have to try it, and maybe substitute with tangerines from,my new tree when they bloom again!
That sounds super good. You’re lucky to live somewhere orange trees grow. 🙂
