It’s been a while since I did a full WIP post, where I actually talked about all of the projects I have going, instead of just the ones I’m actively working on. And with my holiday break coming up, I feel like this is a great time to remind myself you what all I really have going on.
Quilts Waiting To Be Quilted
Impromptu |
Double Exposure |
The “Impromptu” quilt top has also been done for ages, but it’s a little further along that the “Double Exposure” quilt is right now. The “Impromptu” quilt has been basted, and is ready for quilting. It would actually be quilted if I hadn’t planned different color threads for the front and back when I was having tension issues. Those are solved, at least temporarily now, so I should really get on with quilting this one – especially since every quilting pin I own is on it. |
The “Double Exposure” quilt top has been finished for ages. I even have backing fabric. I just haven’t decided if I want to try quilting this one on my machine, or if I’d like to send it out for quilting. |
Partially Pieced Quilt Tops
Neutral I Spy |
Double Wedding Ring |
My original plan was for this quilt to be a baby quilt for Huxley, but after I got started, I just wasn’t feeling it anymore. So this project is on hold for the moment, waiting for more inspiration to strike. |
This double wedding ring was started with fabrics that I got for Christmas from my sister. I love how it’s looking so far, but with all the curved piecing, I really need to be in the mood to work on it. |
Easter Crazy Quilt |
Rabbit Medallion |
This quilt is my version of an Easter quilt that isn’t covered in bunnies. I found some beautiful religious fabrics that work well with the color scheme of my house and aren’t specifically Christmas prints. I just need to get back into the mood to do more handwork. |
This quilt was inspired by all of the medallion quilts that I saw in the blog-o-sphere last year. My version was designed around a fun panel print that I picked up at one of my local fabric shops. I think I stopped working on this when I ran out of white thread, but didn’t get back to it after I picked it up. And there is only one more border to add, so I’m just being a slacker about getting this one done. |
Spooky Crazy Quilt |
|
I just started this crazy quilt, and I’m sure you’ll ask why since Halloween is already over, and I already have another crazy quilt started. However, which this one does use my crazy quilt piecing technique, I do not intend to incorporate hand work. It will finish similarly to my Valentine’s Day crazy quilt. |

Quilts Which Have a Fabric or Design
Golden Books Quilt(s) |
Mini Squares and Strips |
I picked up some Little Golden Books fabric panels that I intend to fussy cut and turn into a quilt. I just need to decide how I want to lay out the design. I’m not sure yet, but I may have enough fabric to make this into 2 baby quilts. |
I have a collection of fabrics from Cotton + Steel and Art Gallery Fabrics that I’m hoping to turn into a miniaturized version of the Cluck Cluck Sew Squares and Strips quilt pattern. |
Gamer Quilt |
Wall Art |
I have worked up an 8-bit design in black and white that will be an homage to old-school video gaming. |
I picked up this Cori Dantini fabric panel during an after Christmas sale a couple years ago and am hoping to get around to doing some hand embroidery to make each of the images into seasonal artwork for the walls. |

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to you too, Vicki! I usually only post what I’ve been actively working on, but I figured it was time for a big update. Mostly to remind myself what projects I need to be working on.
