The new season of Project Quilting has started, which is great. I love having inspiration for sewing projects.  This week’s challenge is “confetti,” so I did a little research on Pinterest for ideas and came across a quilt by St. Louis Folk Victorian that I love.

I’m using it as inspiration for my own little confetti quilt blocks. To start, I went through my fabric to find a solid that I had enough of to use for background fabric, which ended up being a lovely forest green. Once I had that, I pulled some fabrics I thought would work well as confetti pieces with it – lots of bright lime green and teal.

The two blocks I have finished so far will only finish at 6″, and I have to have the project finished by Sunday, so I don’t think my finished quilt will be very large, but hopefully it will be a fun little project anyway.

What are you working on?

Lovely little blocks! I don’t typically work with green, but I’m crushing on this combo! Best of luck on meeting your deadline!

Thanks Jenn! I don’t usually work with this much green either, but I think it’s going to turn out, whether I meet that deadline or not.
