Communique Quilt
I designed the original throw-sized quilt in 2015. It's called the Communique Quilt, because I made the design with the large 16"x16" designs in the panel for Communique fabric panel by Wilmington, in mind. But after I completed the top for my throw, I decided that I really wanted something larger I could use for my bed. That lead to the additional king-sized throw option. In 2019, I began to get requests for a crib-sized version of the quilt. So, I scaled down blocks and removed some sections to create the crib-sized version.
Original Throw Quilt
This is the original 60x72" design. It's a perfect size for snuggling up on the couch to watch Netflix or read your favorite book.
Baby Quilt
With smaller focal blocks, this 46x60" variation on the original pattern is the perfect size for the crib or car seat.
King-Size Quilt
The king-sized version of the design starts with the original pattern and adds 4 extra panels for a perfect king-size bed quilt.
My Communique Quilts
King-Size Bed Quilt
Featuring the fabrics from Wilmington's Communique fabric line, including the panel with large 16"x16" squares, this is quilt that inspired the design. I loved it as a throw quilt, but it's getting much more use on my bed, especially on cold winter nights.
Blue Baby Quilt
Made from fabrics picked specially by my daughter, this crib-sized version features fun little fish, and a variety of amazing blue textures. It's a perfect quilt for a floor in her play tent, or to snuggle with on the couch when she's watching her current favorite movie.
In the Wild
I've found many beautiful versions of my quilt layout around the web. Some feature vintage linens, while others focus on large fabric prints, or traditional quilt blocks. Each version of these quilts I have seen is beautiful in it's own way. If you would like to share your version, be sure to tag #CommuniqueQuilt on your favorite social media.
