It’s the first day of fall and I that means I can start making some of those wonderful fall flavored dishes. And what better way to start my fall cooking out right that to make a batch of Mamaw’s homemade cinnamon applesauce? It’s great fresh if you need a large amount, like for a family get together, or you can can the applesauce and have it all winter. If you happen to have an apple tree, or a great place to pick up fresh apples this fall, you can make your own apple pulp, but don’t worry if you don’t. You can cheat the system and go to the grocery store and pick up some unsweetened applesauce – just make sure it’s unsweetened. We’ll be sweetening it up ourselves.
